My, name is Tashica Wells and I am from Prentiss, MS. I am 31 years old and I have a 14 year old son. I am very excited about being a Habitat Partner. I’m an only child, so to be a Partner Family with Habitat gives me another family. I signed up for Habitat to do something better for myself, to be able to have something of my own one day. I have been through so much in my life; I was even down and out at one time. Everything I strive to do now is to better my life and the life of my child. I moved to Hattiesburg to improve myself, being here where no one knows me and I don’t know them is a good thing, that means drama free. I hope and pray everything works out for the best for me in the program. I really do want a better life for me and my son, and hopefully I have found it in the Habitat Family. I started the program in May 2012, so now I’m looking to work all of my hours towards building my new home.
